Bernoulli flow and energy conservation
Material for the study of fluid flow builds to understanding the role of viscosity. After learning how to model forces in fluids and to use the conservation of mass via the continuity equation, the stundents add energy conservation to model via Bernoulli's equation. Ultimately viscous drag and flow will be built onto the students existing understanding of conservation laws, but first a very unrealistic model of energy conserving fluid flow is introduced.

Welcome to our community and collection of high-quality materials for
teaching physics to life sciences students at the college level.
The Living Physics Portal is an online environment for physics faculty to share and discuss free curricular resources for teaching introductory physics for life sciences (IPLS). The objective of the Portal is to improve the education of the next generation of medical professionals and biologists by making physics classes more relevant for life sciences students.
