Living Physics Portal: Biomechanics - 2D Prediction Worksheets

Abstract: These prediction worksheets are part of the Biomechanics 2D Motion with 2D Forces submodule, which builds on activities in the Biomechanics 1D submodules. In both of these submodules, students model and analyze complex real human motion as a sequence of simple motion and force segments, with the whole person modeled as a point object. Lab activities, which follow, involve students taking, interpreting, and analyzing data on their own movement. The 2D prediction sheets prepare students to interpret real data, which is messy. In the process, they can solidify understanding of kinematic and force-motion relationships
