Welcome to the Living Physics Community

HIGHLIGHTED WORKING GROUPS

Working Group: Curriculum Swap: Spring 2020

Participants will share their existing curricular materials connecting introductory physics to life sciences topics for feedback in the group. Alternatively, participants may bring works-in-progress for advice about strengthening life sciences connections or opportunities for active student engagement.

Working Group: Showcasing Curriculum about Fluids: Spring 2020

Physics instructors who wish to enhance connections to the life sciences in class will learn how to incorporate the topic of fluids. To understand biological systems, the properties of fluids are of great importance, including pressure, buoyancy, internal cohesion, quantification of fluid flow, and internal flow.

Working Group: Dual Themes (Assessment & Community Colleges): Spring 2020

Based on interest and availability of faculty participants, this group will major in Grading & Assessment and minor in Community College instruction. View the Group Details for more information about these two themes.
