Math in Science - Readings
Vetted

Part 1 of 6
Highlights: Readings that specify the skills and methods needed to learn to blend symbolic math with science.
Abstract: Students typically see a large gap between what they have learned to do in math and what they are asked to with it in a science class. There are four collections of readings. (1) Math Readings - A general discussion of the nature of the use of math in science. (2) Math Review - Recaps of the math that will be used in the class but discussed in a science context focusing on conceptual meaning. (3) Building your mathematical toolbelt - a set of general methods for blending math with science. (4) Reading the content - discussion of key equations and how the math codes for physics concepts.
