Highlights: Tutorial investigating math functions to describe 2-variable relationships in a biological context.
Abstract: In this tutorial, students analyze real biological data sets which provided from published sources. They create linear, semi-log, and log-log graphs of each data set and use these graphs to determine if two variables are related by a linear, power law, or exponential relationship. They also interpret the physical significance of slopes and y-intercepts.
