Highlights: Student-centered activity: experiments on refraction, reflection and image formation with single lens
Abstract: In this activity students are guided through a series of questions and experiments on refraction and reflection at flat and curved surfaces, using Snel’s Law. This is followed by questions and experiments on image formation by a single converging lens in which students use ray diagrams and the thin lens equation in conjunction with experiments with lenses of various focal lengths to explore the relationship between image and object location.
