Living Physics Portal: 2D Biomechanics

Abstract: These conceptual question sheets, for homework or quizzes, are part of the Biomechanics 2D Motion with 2D Forces submodule, which builds on activities in the Biomechanics 1D submodules. In both of these modules, students model and analyze complex real human motion as a sequence of simple motion and force segments, with the whole person modeled as a point object, typically at the center of mass. These conceptual question sheets probe students understanding of 2D forces and motion in the context of a human physical activity, primarily through motion and force diagrams.
