Humanized Physics Project - Mechanics Labs archived from Doane & U of Neb
These archived materials are part of the Humanized Physics Project (2001-2004), a multi-institutional effort to create Introductory Physics lab activities with a human context for students preparing for careers in the life sciences. All the activities start with a human-related context, even if the lab activities are more traditional. New to that era, included computer acquisition of data (now outdated). Ideas were shared across institutions but each institution created or adapted their own materials. This subset of activities, focused on motion, was developed for use at Doane College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Welcome to our community and collection of high-quality materials for
teaching physics to life sciences students at the college level.
The Living Physics Portal is an online environment for physics faculty to share and discuss free curricular resources for teaching introductory physics for life sciences (IPLS). The objective of the Portal is to improve the education of the next generation of medical professionals and biologists by making physics classes more relevant for life sciences students.
