Biomechanics - Limb Rotational Dynamics and Torque
Digitally active worksheets on the rotational dynamics of human limbs with the associated torque forces exerted on the limbs and a focus on muscle forces. Angular kinematics graph predictions and graph interpretation of limbs in motion are included. From lab data and associated pictures from synchronized video, students learn to draw torque diagrams and calculate a muscle force at interesting moments in the motion. Different versions are included for both group work in class and for individual homework. Most are designed for easy digital manipulation with click and drag features.

Welcome to our community and collection of high-quality materials for
teaching physics to life sciences students at the college level.
The Living Physics Portal is an online environment for physics faculty to share and discuss free curricular resources for teaching introductory physics for life sciences (IPLS). The objective of the Portal is to improve the education of the next generation of medical professionals and biologists by making physics classes more relevant for life sciences students.
