What is your approach to teaching physics for life science students?

As a university student majoring in Biology, I always wanted to know "How do we know that?" From nerve transmissions to 2-d chromatography to determining biochemical pathways, I was always more interested in the process of finding out, rather than memorizing the steps. This has translated into my physics courses and other course taught in a high school setting.
