Blood Pressure Measurement - Section 2 of 5
Vetted
Highlights: Hands-on Blood Pressure Measurement Activity with variations in elevation and exercise.
Abstract: Section 2 of the Physics of the Cardiovascular System investigates blood pressure measurement and static pressure. Students will: 1) incorporate fluid physics principles of hydrostatic and dynamic pressures to actively investigate blood pressure measurement.; 2) investigate variations of blood pressure measurements due to changes in body position, the location of measurement on the body, and changes in cardiac ouput.
Resource Types: In-class activity, Lecture materials, Lab, Demonstration, Pre-class assignment, Homework, Student reading, Instructor supplement, Restricted access
