HPP Biomechanics - 1D Vertical Forces and Motion
Vetted
Highlights: Archived IPLS Biomechanics student activities for 1D Motion and Forces as part of the Humanized Physics Project (2001-2004)
Abstract: These archived materials are part of the Humanized Physics Project (2001-2004), a multi-institutional effort to create Introductory Physics lab activities with a human context for students preparing for careers in the life sciences. Ideas were shared, but each institution developed its own version of materials. Mercy's lab activities were developed in DataStudio workbooks, now inaccessible. However, some lab screenshots and the prediction and related student worksheets are here.
New is breaking complex movements into a sequence of simple motions. Each section overview lists the new skills and corresponding lab activities
