Highlights: Investigating the Physics of a Pneumothorax: A patient who has been injured has trouble breathing
Abstract: Section 3 of the Physics of the Respiratory System Module uses the Lung Model (from Section 1) to actively investigate the pressure changes that prevent the lung from expanding during a pneumothorax. This section includes learning objectives with matched assessment questions, reading and writing in the curriculum, and a hands-on activity. The curriculum reviews and expands upon introductory physics content.
