Bernoulli Principle in Clogged Arteries - Section 5 of 5
Vetted
Highlights: Use a hands-on model to investigate Bernoulli's Principle as applied to diseased blood vessels.
Abstract: Section 5 of the Physics of the Cardiovascular System investigates the physics principles applicable in diseased arteries. Students will: 1) use a physical model to investigate the fluid dynamics of clogged arteries; and 2) apply the Equation of Continuity and Bernoulli's Principle to an understanding of pressure differences and velocity of blood flow in diseased arteries.
Resource Types: In-class activity, Lecture materials, Lab, Demonstration, Pre-class assignment, Homework, Student reading, Instructor supplement, Restricted access
