The Living Physics Portal is an online environment for physics faculty to share and discuss free curricular resources for teaching introductory physics for life sciences (IPLS). The objective of the Portal is to improve the education of the next generation of medical professionals and biologists by making physics classes more relevant for life sciences students. We do this by supporting physics instructors in finding and creating curricular materials and engaging in community discussions with other instructors to improve their courses. It is created and administered by an interdisciplinary team of physicists, biologists, researchers, developers, and user experience designers at the American Association of Physics Teachers and 8 collaborating colleges and universities.
By clicking to be a beta tester, you agree to the following:
I have curricular materials for physics for life science students that I would like to contribute to the Portal and/or I am participating in a Portal community activity.
I understand that the Portal is still in development, is not fully functional, and may have bugs. I am willing to report issues I encounter and/or provide feedback on my experience of the side, using the “provide feedback” button on the right side of the site.
I agree that during beta, my actions on the Portal will be individually tracked for the purposes of sharing my site activity back with me, for the project team to improve the website, and for identifying potential research directions.
I agree to receive email about (a) new Portal features, (b) technical issues with the Portal, and (c) opportunities to opt into participating in research projects.
If you have any questions about being a beta tester, you may contact us.

Registering allows you to join the ComPADRE network and access all materials the Living Physics Portal has to offer, including:
answer keys and other instructor supplements
Choose an email address and password to use as your Portal login.
Some of your personal actions on the Portal will be made visible to other registered users including your profile, curricular contributions, comments and implementation reports on curricular resources, following of other users, who you are followed by, posts to discussion forums, and group participation.
We will not share your personal information with third parties without your explicit permission unless required by law.
If you would like to opt out of tracking and/or receiving email, you may contact us to have your account removed from the Portal. Before public release of the Living Physics Portal, you will have more control over how your personal data is tracked, used, and made visible, while keeping your Portal account.
Forgot your password? No problem. Just type in your email address below, and we'll reset your password and email it to your registered email account. Note that the Living Physics Portal uses the same username and password as ComPADRE, PhysPort, and PER-Central, so if you recently changed your password on any of those sites, use that new password to log in here.
