Educators collaborate around a well-defined, feasible goal for a short period of time (~3 months or less). Small teams of 6-12 educators with membership that remains constant from start to finish.

Participants will share their existing curricular materials connecting introductory physics to life sciences topics for feedback in the group. Alternatively, participants may bring works-in-progress for advice about strengthening life sciences connections or opportunities for active student engagement.


Showcasing Curriculum about Fluids: Spring 2020

Physics instructors who wish to enhance connections to the life sciences in class will learn how to incorporate the topic of fluids. To understand biological systems, the properties of fluids are of great importance, including pressure, buoyancy, internal cohesion, quantification of fluid flow, and internal flow.
